India vs Ireland 1st T20I: Predicted Fantasy XIs and Budget Picks

It’s time for the first T20I of this three-match T20I series between Ireland and India. Ireland get ready to take on India in the 1st T20I of the series and let’s hope for a closely contested affair. The Irish team has recently qualified for the T20 World Cup 2024 and this is an opportunity for them to build towards that World Cup with an impressive performance against a young Indian unit. Let’s see how things pan out. Ireland have started a new era under the leadership of Paul Stirling and expect them to take an aggressive route in the T20 format.

Stirling along with Balbirnie will have to play a key role at the top of the order while the likes of Tucker, Harry Tector and Dockrell form a formidable middle order. Curtis Campher with his all-round skills is an x-factor for Ireland and they would hope that the quality pace trio of Josh Little, Mark Adair and Craig Young trouble Indian batters in this series. There is a quality all-round option like Gareth Delany as well and it would be interesting to see how the Irish boys go about their business against a more fancied Indian unit.

India, on the other hand, will be led by Jasprit Bumrah. The charismatic speedster is making a comeback after September 2022 and would be raring to deliver in Indian jersey again. Along with Bumrah, Prasidh Krishna is also making a comeback and it would be interesting to see what pace attack India prefer with Arshdeep Singh and Mukesh Kumar, Avesh Khan also in the ranks. Ravi Bishnoi is likely to play as a spinner along with all-rounder Washington Sundar while the batting unit if also full of talented IPL superstars.

Rinku Singh and Jitesh Sharma might debut for India while Sanju Samson is likely to bat at his preferred position number 3. This series is a great opportunity for Ruturaj Gaikwad as well at the top of the order and we can expect India to come out all guns blazing. There are chances of rain playing some spoilsport as well but let’s hope that cricket takes the centre stage and we get to witness an exciting encounter between two teams with plenty of power-packed performers.
