Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has reportedly finalised a remarkable move from Gujarat Titans to Mumbai Indians ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, as per insider sources. Although Pandya was initially part of the retention list provided by GT, the trade was executed after the retention deadline on November 26. The trading window remains open until December 12, allowing the completion of this significant transfer. This transaction is believed to be an all-cash deal without the involvement of any other players.
Hardik Pandya, after being released before the 2022 season, had played seven IPL seasons with Mumbai Indians. Subsequently, he captained Gujarat Titans to consecutive IPL finals, securing the trophy in their inaugural season. Notably, England pacers Jofra Archer and Chris Jordan were released from Mumbai Indians ahead of the upcoming IPL season. Archer’s season was marred by injuries, impacting his performance, while Chris Jordan also faced the axe.
