Fortune Barishal will face Sylhet Strikers in the fourth match of the Bangladesh Premier League 2023 on Saturday at Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur (January 7). Fortune Barishal finished the previous season on top of the table, with seven victories from ten group-stage matches, but were defeated in the final by Comilla Victorians. Last season, captain Shakib Al Hasan led the team with 284 runs and 16 wickets in 11 innings.

In T20 games, the pitch at Mirpur’s Shere Bangla National Stadium provides a balanced surface. The bowlers have dominated recent encounters at this location, notably the tournament opener, in which the Strikers limited the Challengers to 89 runs when bowling first.

Seven teams will compete in the Bangladesh Premier League 2023. Fortune Barishal, Khulna Tigers, Dhaka Dominators, Sylhet Striker, Rangpur Riders, and Chattogram Challengers are the teams. In the league stage, each side will play a total of 12 games. Every team will play two games against other teams throughout the competition. At the end of the league stage, the top four teams in the points standings will progress to the playoffs.
