Fortune Barishal are due to meet Rangpur Riders on January 10 at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka after losing to Sylhet Strikers in their first encounter. Despite performing pretty well in the first game, the club was defeated and will be hungry to record their first victory of the season. The Riders, on the other hand, won their first game against Comilla Victorians and will be looking to replicate the feat in order to go to the top of the table.
The Bangladesh Premier League 2023 will include 7 teams. They are the Fortune Barishal, Khulna Tigers, Dhaka Dominators, Sylhet Striker, Rangpur Riders, and Chattogram Challengers. Each team in the league stage will compete in a total of 12 games. Throughout the competition, every team will play two games against other teams. The top four teams in the points standings at the conclusion of the league stage will advance to the playoffs.
