On Monday, December 12, the Colombo Stars will face the Jaffna Kings in Match 10 of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2022 at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. The Stars have gotten off to a stop-start in the competition, winning one and losing the other, and they currently sit third in the points table with an NRR of -2.5. Colombo’s net run rate has dropped due to a 109-run defeat to the Kandy Falcons in their first game, and they must now win convincingly from here on out to make up for it.

The defending champions, on the other hand, have been impressive so far, with two triumphs and one defeat in three games. They now have four points with a net run rate of 0.927. The defending champions will be coming off a three-wicket defeat to the Kandy Falcons in a last-ball thriller. Jaffna Kings will be in action against Dambulla Aura on Sunday, December 11, in the second of three back-to-back matches in three days.
