Shriram Andhra Cricket Association has been hosting the Inaugural edition of the Andhra Premier League which started on the 6th of July, 2022 with Coastal Riders taking on Godavari Titans. The Final of the tournament is scheduled to take place on the 17th of July, 2022. Six teams – Coastal Riders, Godavari Titans, Uttarandhra Lions, Rayalaseema Kings, Vizag Warriors and Bezawada Tigers are playing against each other in 15 league stage matches, which are followed by four playoff stage matches at the Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam.

So far, a handful of games took place and Uttarandhra Lions are ready to play against Bezawada Tigers in the 6th match of the tournament on July 8, Friday at the Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam from 1 pm IST. Uttarandhra Lions last played against Rayalaseema Kings and won the match by 5 wickets. Gulfaam Saleh top-scored with 30. Meanwhile, Bezawada Tigers last took on Vizag Warriors and won the match by 8 wickets.

The matches would be telecast live by Star Sports (Telugu), which has purchased the telecast rights for INR 2 crore and on a daily basis, two matches would be played. One will be played from 1 p.m. to 4.20 p.m. and the other will be played from 6.30 p.m. to 9.50 p.m.
