Prannoy secured a strategic victory in the 2-2 tie against Leong Jun Hao to give India a 3-2 victory. He played in a similar situation against Rasmus Gemke in the semifinals. Prannoy was placed in the semifinals of the 2022 Indonesia Open in June. He lost in the Malaysia Open quarterfinals in the same month.
