Jacob Kiplimo retained his senior men’s title at the World Athletics Cross Country Championships Belgrade 24. Subsequently, Kiplimo joined an illustrious list of athletes to have successfully defended a world cross-country title.

Kiplimo’s story of rags to riches

Amidst Uganda’s rugged terrain, a tale of sheer grit and unwavering determination emerges embodied by none other than two times world champion Jacob Kiplimo. During his young days, Jacob laced up his shoes in the heart of Bukwo.

Little did he know what was awaiting ahead for him, a journey replete with Olympic medals. Kiplimo’s glittery success on the stomping grounds and his emerging as a 2x World Cross Country Champion.
