Natalia Kaczmarek has become one of the most popular athletes in the 400 meters event. Her recent success in the European Athletics Championships 2022 in Munich, is one of her greatest achievements. With her eyes set on the World Athletics Championships 2023, Kaczmarek’s achievements are not confined to solo races, as she is a key figure in Poland’s 4 x 400 m relay teams.
Although her individual performance at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 didn’t result in a medal, she clocked an impressive semi-final timing of 50.79 seconds. She claimed two medals at the rescheduled 2020 Tokyo Olympics. With teammates Karol Zalewski, Justyna Święty-Ersetic, and Kajetan Duszyński on her side, she won gold in the mixed 4×400 relay. In addition, she clinched the silver in the women’s 4×400m relay.
In 2019, Natalia Kaczmarek collected the European under-23 title in the 400 meters. Previously, she achieved success in relay events where she contributed to a silver medal at the World Indoor Championships 2018 and gold at the European Championships 2018. She added a bronze medal to her collection at the European Indoor Championships 2021.
The year May 2021 saw Kaczmarek win both the women’s 4×400 meters relay and individual 400 meters at the European Team Championships held in Chorzów, Poland. Kaczmarek’s progress continued in 2022, as she won the 400m race at the Golden Spike meet in Ostrava, where she attained a timing of 50.16 seconds – the second-fastest time in Polish history. Her personal best – outdoors is 50.83 and indoors is 49.48, both of which she accomplished in 2023.

Konrad Bukowiecki was born on March 17, 1997, in Szczytno, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, Poland. At the age of 17, Bukowiecki clinched the gold medal at both the World Junior Championships and the Summer Youth Olympics. He established himself as a record holder in the junior indoor category and set the world youth indoor bests. Making his debut at the senior level competition, Bukowiecki finished sixth at the European Indoor Championships in 2015, throwing the 7.26 kg shot for a European best.
The 2016 indoor season saw Bukowiecki surpass his European junior personal best with a throw of 20.61 meters. He finished fourth at the World Indoor Championships in Portland. Bukowiecki returned in 2017, winning gold medals at both the European Under-23 Championships and the European Indoor Championships. In 2019, he smashed the 22 meters barrier, achieving 22.25 meters during the Kamila Skolimowska Memorial at the Silesian Stadium in Chorzów. He also secured the gold medal at the European Under-23 Championships 2019.
