Jake Wightman is a middle-distance runner from the Great Britain who predominantly competes in the 1500 meters. His 2022 World Championships gold medal was the first male British victory in a middle distance competition since Seb Coe’s 1500 m victory at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. Wightman claimed a bronze for the 800 meters in 2018 and a silver medal for the same event in 2022 at the European Athletics Championships.
