Andrade El Idolo is a Mexican professional wrestler born on November 3, 1989, in Durango, Mexico. He made his debut in 2003 and has appeared in numerous promotions throughout his years in the industry. Andrade has appeared in promotions like the CLMM, Los Ingobernables, and NJPW. He has also made his appearances in WWE and was officially signed with them for a few years. During his years in WWE Andrade even managed to become the NXT Champion.
In 2019, Andrade was drafted to Raw. During his time in Raw, Andrade defeated Rey Mysterio and won the United States Championship for the first time. Andrade won against Mysterio once again in his title defense on January 6, 2020. During the Royal Rumble on January 26, 2020, Andrade managed to defeat Humberto Carrilo. But he was soon suspended for violating WWE’s wellness policy.
Andrade later made his AEW debut on the June 4, 2021, episode of AEW Dynamite, under the name Andrade El Idolo. In his first match, he allied himself with Vickie Guerrero. Andrade would later make his in-ring debut by defeating Matt Sydal on July 7, 2021. On the October 6, 2021, episode of Dynamite, Andrade would compete in a Casino Ladder Match for getting a place in the AEW World Championship, but he would lose that ladder match to Adam Page.
