In a highly-anticipated announcement, it has been confirmed that FOZZY, the electrifying musical collaboration between the illustrious wrestling icon Chris Jericho and the ingenious mastermind behind STUCK MOJO, Rich “The Duke” Ward, is set to unleash a brand new single upon the world. Aptly titled “Spotlight,” this scintillating composition is slated for release on the auspicious date of August 25th.

Brace yourselves, for the sonic landscape is about to be forever altered by the harmonious fusion of these two extraordinary talents. In a scintillating new interview conducted by none other than Diesel from the esteemed 93.3 Planet Rocks of Greenville, South Carolina, the enigmatic Ward shared his thoughts on the mesmerizing track (as meticulously transcribed by the ever-reliable BLABBERMOUTH.NET):

“It’s a fantastic song. Anyone who’s known me for any length of time always knows I’m [a fan] of dance riffs. I mean, STUCK MOJO was just a dance band dressed up in evil, heavy metal riffs. I’ve always been a fan of both. And partially [that was because] I grew up in the late ’70s, early ’80s in the disco era. That was what music was popular; that was the most popular soundtrack, the most popular album when I was a kid. And I always loved dance music — Donna Summer and KOOL & THE GANG. These are people that put out albums that I was always in love with. And I loved Dick Clark, I loved America’s Top 40, but I also loved ‘Soul Train’. This is part of my DNA.”

FOZZY might play at AEW All-In

On the day that “Spotlight” comes out, FOZZY will play a very special live show called “Spotlight On London” at the famous O2 Forum Kentish Town in London, England. The show will be FOZZY’s biggest to date, and special guests MASSIVE WAGONS and the KRIS BARRAS BAND will join them to make a killer bill. FOZZY’s yet-to-be-announced February 2024 U.K. tour tickets will also go on sale on August 25. The London show will be the same weekend as the AEW “All In” event at Wembley Stadium. Jericho will be at both events, which are the biggest in AEW’s history and FOZZY’s history.
