On Monday, RUSH signed with AEW. There had been a lot of talk about where the former ROH World Champion would end up. But he made it public by posting a film of himself and Tony Khan signing his new deal. CM Punk saw the video in the end, and the Second City Saint put it on his Instagram with the word “Collider” written in big letters.
Punk has been using this term to describe the people who watch AEW Collision every week, but by using it with RUSH, he is at least stating his hope that the star will become a regular on the show. Andrade El Idolo, RUSH’s old friend, is making a name for himself on the show, so he could fit right in with the group on Saturdays.
CM Punk has worked hard to make Collision its own special thing within the AEW. He is said to have led a meeting in the locker room a few weeks ago to talk about how the show can be different from AEW Dynamite.
Not only that, but some of the AEW stars have been the main center of Collision. Names like Ricky Starks, FTR, Miro, and Scorpio Sky have almost always been heard on Saturday nights.
