Seven months after they began dating, AEW superstars Tay Conti and Sammy Guevara got married in August 2022. They are now expecting their first child together. Tony Khan, Shawn Dean, and WWE star Nikki Cross were among the celebrities that attended their wedding, but when considering the AEW roster, there were some noteworthy exclusions from the guest list.

When presenter RJ City questioned Conti on why Guevara wasn’t invited during their recent appearance together on “Hey! (EW),” Conti got the chance to respond.

“Am I supposed to be honest? I didn’t like you, okay, but I changed my mind.”

The presenter then joked with her, claiming that he had the chance to win her over at any time, before going on to mention that there were wrestlers. He is aware that they wouldn’t want everyone throwing up on the flower girl, though. Then he inquired as to how she choose whom to invite. The pair was receiving a lot of criticism at the time from both fans and other players on the team. Their backstage presence garnered so much attention that it was the main focus of the reality series “AEW: All Access.” Conti cited that reality as the cause.

“As you said, not many people liked us, so super easy.”

RJ continued by claiming that the wedding’s hashtag, “#Sammytiestheknot,” implied that Guevara was trying to use Conti as a pawn in his own scheme. Guevara simply chuckled and responded, “What the f***?” The entire exchange was amusing, keeping with the show’s overall mocking tone.
