WWE was putting the finishing touches on the spectacle during Monday night’s episode of Raw before Elimination Chamber on Saturday. In preparation for his encounter with Roman Reigns for the undisputed WWE universal championship, Sami Zayn traveled to Raw as part of that push.

Cody Rhodes, who won the Royal Rumble to ensure his chance at the championships at WrestleMania, confronted Zayn. On the microphone, Rhodes and Zayn were passionate as they continued to develop one of the finest WWE narratives of the decade.

A high-stakes triple threat battle featuring Raw women’s champion Bianca Belair resulted from Becky Lynch and Bayley’s efforts to be added as an extra participant in the women’s Elimination Chamber matches.

WWE RAW match card

  • The Street Profits vs Judgment Day
  • Piper Niven vs Mia Yim
  • Cody Rhodes vs Baron Corbin
  • Rodriguez, Morgan and Natalya vs Asuka, Carmella and Cross
  • Bronson Reed vs Mustafa Ali
  • The Miz vs Rick Boogs
  • Bianca Belair vs Bayley vs Becky Lynch

The Street Profits vs Judgment Day

Becky Lynch entered the ring at the start of Raw to talk about the Elimination Chamber and WrestleMania 39. She requested Adam Pearce to give her a chance to qualify for the women’s Chamber match, but Bayley interrupted before he could respond.

They were joined by Bianca Belair, and Pearce scheduled a triple threat match. Bayley or Becky will be given a place in the Chamber if they win. Neither lady will be given a spot if Bianca wins. Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins entered the ring to take on Finn Balor and Damian Priest after a brief backstage discussion with Judgment Day.

The audience started chanting “We want Mami,” as The Archer of Infamy quickly overcame Ford and took charge. During the commercial break, Judgment Day maintained the advantage, but as soon as WWE resumed the show, Dawkins started to gain ground.

However, Balor ultimately prevailed against Ford with a Coup de Grace. This match was passable, but it wasn’t as strong as it may have been. Although both of these teams are excellent, this seemed like a little filler. After the game, only Edge and Beth Phoenix prevented the Profits from being destroyed, but Ripley appeared out of nowhere to save Dominik and give The Glamazon a Riptide.

Winner: The Judgement Day

Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley contract signing

For the signing of their contract for their match at Elimination Chamber, Lesnar was the first to leave. He threw his chair outside the ring and stood there in The All Mighty’s presence. A table was put up on the stage just for Lashley by a group of security personnel who had lined up along the aisle. The Beast walked right into the trap that was laid for him as he attempted to slip past the guards to get Lashley.

After taking him out and signing the agreement, Lashley placed it on top of Lesnar before leaving and going to the back. Even though we always knew this would result in a brawl, WWE at least made it entertaining.

Piper Niven vs Mia Yim

Piper Niven and Mia Yim squared off in the next match. They were hoping to vent their anger on one another after both ladies were unable to go to the Elimination Chamber. As soon as the bell sounded, Niven sprang Yim from her boots.

She was too heavy for Yim to lift for a bodyslam, so he had to kick her out of a pin. The game heated up at first, but as they reduced the tempo, it rapidly cooled off. In the end, Niven used a black hole slam to quickly win.

Winner: Piper Niven

Sami Zayn promo

Sami Zayn abruptly entered the ring with a microphone while Baron Corbin was conducting an interview backstage. Cody Rhodes was invited to the ring, he said.

The American Nightmare complied and requested a topic of conversation. If Rhodes was telling the truth when he stated Zayn could defeat Roman Reigns, Zayn wanted to know.

Zayn expressed doubt about his ability to overcome The Tribal Chief and talked about how he has seen Reigns defeat so many opponents throughout his reign as the title. Rhodes said that the audience knows he can defeat Reigns in an effort to boost his ego.

Cody Rhodes vs Baron Corbin

Rhodes heard Baron Corbin disparaging him and Dusty Rhodes as he was making his way backstage. He was out-muscled by The American Nightmare on the way to the ring, where he asked that the match be turned into a contest.

The Modern Day Wrestling God was thrown into the timekeeper’s section by Rhodes after he executed a suicide dive. Although it wasn’t much, Corbin was able to muster just enough offense to cause Rhodes to slow down.

Cross Rhodes enabled the Royal Rumble victor to win quickly. The crowd was undoubtedly having fun despite the fact that this was a short squash. Corbin deserves praise for always being willing to step up and take the lead in situations like this.

Winner: Cody Rhodes

Rodriguez, Morgan and Natalya vs Asuka, Carmella and Cross

The six-woman tag match served as a Raw vs. SmackDown fight as well as a sneak peek of the women’s Chamber match that will take place on Saturday. Nikki Cross, Asuka, and Carmella were challenged by Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, and Natalya. For their respective teams, Cross and Rogriguez got things going, but they quickly tagged out to Mella and Nattie.

As far as the setup went, this was your typical six-woman tag match. Everyone had a turn in the ring, and both sides came close to winning several times until one managed to prevail. Asuka eventually simply started killing everyone, including her own teammates. She ultimately defeated Morgan with an armbar, but Cross and Mella were too damaged for the referee to raise their hands at the conclusion.

Winner: Asuka, Carmella and Cross

Bronson Reed vs Mustafa Ali

After arguing behind closed doors the previous week, Reed and Ali faced off in a singles match on Monday’s broadcast. Despite Ali’s best efforts, the Australian Superstar was able to outmuscle him at every step.

Before dragging Ali back into the ring, he threw Ali into a stack of chairs in the area reserved for the timekeeper. The ex-regular of 205 Live countered a powerbomb and connected with a DDT for a one-count, but it was all the offense he could muster. Reed easily won by knocking him out with a splash from the top rope.

Winner: Bronson Reed

The Miz vs Rick Boogs

After a break, The Miz returned to the stage to present a new episode of Miz TV. Seth Rollins was invited as his guest to discuss the Elimination Chamber. The segment began in a cordial manner, but it concluded with The Visionary killing The Miz before Austin Theory attempted to sneak attack him. The American champion and A-List celebrity won the game.

Just before Rick Boogs entered the arena for their scheduled match, The Miz recovered during the intermission. The A-Lister attempted to withdraw from it since he was wounded, but the referee nevertheless rang the bell. Boogs easily flung him around to display his remarkable strength before winning.

Winner: Rick Boogs

Bianca Belair vs Bayley vs Becky Lynch

Bayley and Lynch were back in the ring with one other just one week after their taxing cage encounter, but this time Belair served as their third dance partner. Belair and Lynch were in no way cooperating, even though they both intended to kill Bayley first. The Man and The EST started fighting as soon as The Role Model left the ring.

It’s nearly difficult to plan a terrible bout when three talents of this quality are in the ring at once without doing so on purpose. This fight was well-paced, allowing everyone to exert influence at various times. Without a doubt, this was the evening’s outstanding performance.

The interference by Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky in favor of Bayley was entirely allowed because there were no DQs in a triple threat. In fact, it’s surprising they didn’t immediately enter the ring and assist their commander in quickly defeating Lynch and Belair.

Other female spectators arrived, but Belair defeated them all by tossing Sky at them from the ring. The EST grabbed Lynch for the KOD and immediately put her on top of Bayley after Lynch had hit her with the Manhandle Slam to win.

Winner: Bianca Belair
