Andrade might be part of AEW but he will always be connected to WWE. Andrade El Idolo and Charlotte Flair are considered a “power couple” in professional wrestling. Despite working for opposing promotions, they have always been there to support one another, as was the case during the WrestleMania 39 weekend in Los Angeles.

Andrade recently revealed backstage footage from the event, in which he can be seen in the WWE locker room assisting Flair in preparing for her “WWE SmackDown” Women’s Championship defense against Rhea Ripley, including wiping down Flair’s hair and kissing her. Flair was ultimately defeated in her bout, losing her championship to Ripley in a highly anticipated contest.

Andrade also accompanied Flair to this year’s WWE Hall of Fame event. The footage backs up AAA booker Konnan’s claim that Andrade was in attendance with his wife. Flair has stated that she wishes to work with her husband one day. “I’d love to be beside my husband, managing him, or playing mixed tag,” she remarked. Andrade temporarily worked for WWE during his friendship with Flair, but following his departure earlier that year, he signed with AEW in 2021.

Charlotte Flair married Andrade in a romantic fashion

Charlotte Flair of WWE married her fiancé, Mexican wrestler Andrade El Idolo, in a magnificent and beautiful Mexico ceremony on Friday, proving that “love is one language.” The pair exchanged vows in front of 160 guests at Hacienda Mi Ranchito in Torreón, the groom’s hometown, on Friday evening, according to reports.

Flair said to People, “Before I met him, I did not know anything except my job. When I met him, he opened my eyes to travel and life and love and a different culture. And I was so strict with my job and did not know how to enjoy both life and work at the same time. And he opened me up to that.” The pair, who got engaged in January 2020, showcased their love for one another in the wedding décor, which included a slew of candles and light pastel flower arrangements that Flair characterized as “very gentle, beautiful, and whimsical.”

Flair added, “I didn’t want it to be anything like my character — ‘Charlotte’ is not personable at all and not relatable … but I like when I am just me, Ashley, when I am with him in gym clothes and no makeup. It’s funny because when we were talking to the wedding planner … I just really wanted it to be casual.”

On May 27, 2022, the pair married, not long before Andrade partnered with Charlotte’s father, WWE Hall of Famer “Nature Boy” Ric Flair, in his retirement match against Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett. Andrade has hinted that his AEW contract would expire shortly, however, there is no information on when or where he will wind up if he does not re-sign with AEW.
