In his role as Undisputed Universal Champion, Roman Reigns has now added another achievement to his resume. The Tribal Chief won the Universal Championship for a second time at Payback 2020 by defeating The Fiend and Brown Strowman in a No Holds Barred Triple Threat match. Reigns became the first Superstar to concurrently hold both the WWE Championship and WWE Universal Championship after defeating Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38. He may brag about another record at the moment.

With 871 days as the Universal Champion, Roman Reigns has now outlasted GUNTHER’s previous record of 870 days as the NXT UK champion. Wrestling Stats & Info posted about the statistic on Twitter.

Gunther and Roman Reigns are dominating

Two of the most dominating Superstars on the WWE roster right now are Roman Reigns and GUNTHER. Although the two haven’t yet faced off, it goes without saying that they’ll put up a show when they do in the future. In 2022, GUNTHER enjoyed a successful main roster run. In less than three minutes, the Austrian Superstar defeated his opponent to win the bout, and shortly after, he won the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

Roman Reigns conquered the finest Superstars WWE had to offer throughout his 871-day title reign. The WWE may exploit this plot as a potential storyline to encourage the two to go to war against one another in the future now that The Head Of The Table has formally surpassed GUNTHER’s record. While GUNTHER has kept himself busy with several opponents rising up to him, Roman Reigns is now embroiled in a rivalry with Kevin Owens. It wouldn’t be shocking if WWE were to pull off The Bloodline vs. Imperium given how close WrestleMania 39 is.
