The grand finale of the fifth season of the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League is scheduled for July 16, 2023. The fifth season began on May 30, 2023. The championship games will be held in Arlington, Texas. With 16 teams competing against one another in 104 matches, the competition follows the same format as in 2022. Before the final round, there is a preliminary round in which the games are split up into six pools, with matches taking place in cities around the world like Bangkok, Nagoya, Hong Kong, Brasilia, and Antalya.

Each team participates in a total of 12 matches during the first phase of the competition, which lasts three weeks and features a variety of opponents. The top eight will proceed to the final round based on who managed to earn the most points during this time. The third and final round, which consists of the semifinal and championship matches, is the concluding segment. A spot in the final eight has already been guaranteed for the United States because they are hosting the final stage, but their exact placement is unknown.

Last year China’s women’s volleyball team beat Poland 3-0 in its second match of Pool 6 of the 2022 FIVB Volleyball Nations League. On June 17, 2023, China will play Poland in the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Nations League. In this matchup, two strong teams will square off. China is ranked third in the world, while Poland is ranked 8th. Following the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League 2022, Poland placed thirteenth overall, while China took sixth. Attempting to top the standings is the goal for both teams this time.
