The FIVB Men’s U21 World Championship in volleyball will take place in 2023, marking the tournament’s 22nd year. The men’s national teams under 21 compete in this two-times-per-year international junior volleyball tournament. To participate in the World Championship, a team must be a member of an FIVB member association. The FIVB is the sport’s international governing body. The event will take place from July 7–16, 2023, in Manama, the capital of Bahrain.
Thursday’s matchup between Italy and Belgium at the U-21 Volleyball World Championship. In terms of rankings, Italy is currently in first place worldwide. The FIVB U-21 Men rankings currently have Belgium at number five. The Thursday volleyball game between two powerful teams seems like it will be exciting. Nevertheless, winning the match will be challenging for both teams.
There were a total of 16 national teams that qualified for the competition. Ten teams were qualified through five different continental tournaments, but Mexico was already qualified as the host and would have to host the event by December 31, 2022, according to the most recent rankings. The top 5 teams were selected based on their standing among the teams that haven’t yet qualified in the Men’s U21 FIVB World Ranking.
Each pool’s competition will be a round-robin affair between teams. In the second phase’s round-robin pools E and F, the top two teams from each pool advance, while the remaining teams contend for spots from eighth to sixteenth in pools G and H. The winners and runners-up from pools E and F advance to the semifinals, where the medalists will be chosen.
