Taking place between September 16 and September 24, 2023, the FIVB Women’s Volleyball Qualification for the 2024 Paris Olympics will assemble 24 of the world’s most skilled teams. This multi-city event will happen in Ningbo (China), Tokyo (Japan), and Lodz (Poland). Each group, containing eight teams, will see its members play a singular match against each other. The top two performers from each group earn a coveted spot in the Paris 2024 Olympic lineup.
On September 16, 2023, China will take on Ukraine in a Pool A competition of the Paris Olympics Volleyball Qualifying Tournament 2023. In the 2019 edition of the tournament, China secured a direct berth in the Tokyo Olympics 2020 after finishing in the top two of their Pool. Meanwhile, Ukraine have made it to this stage of the event as the 24th world ranked non-qualified team.
