The European Men’s U-17 Volleyball Championship is held every two years and is hosted by the European Volleyball Confederation, which oversees national teams on the continent with players under the age of 17. The Montenegrin volleyball scene is eagerly anticipating the EuroVolley U17M 2023 competition, which will be held in Podgorica from July 19 to July 30. Ivan Bokovi, Secretary General of the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro (OSCG), spoke to the media at a news conference that was held at the Voco hotel about a week before the competition started.
The European Volleyball Confederation has given our federation responsibility for the continental championship for young male players under the age of 17 as a result of the exceptional administration of the U17 Women’s competition hosted here in 2020. With tremendous honor and responsibility, they are carrying out this task. The CEV has once more praised the Montenegrin Volleyball Federation for its prior accomplishments.
On Monday, Montenegro and Belgium will compete in the CEV U17 Volleyball European Championship encounter. Depending on the result of the game, both teams’ success will vary. Montenegro had already lost to Estonia (0-3) in a lopsided matchup before Monday’s game. However, Belgium just defeated Turkey in a decisive fashion (3-0). In their matchup with Belgium, Montenegro will be desperate to avenge their defeat.
The best 16 teams from Europe with athletes born in 2007 and younger will compete in Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro, and at the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro. In addition to the host Montenegro, volleyball fans and observers will have the chance to watch teams from Italy, France, Poland, the Netherlands, Serbia, and other volleyball powerhouses in Podgorica and Montenegro. There will be 16 participant countries. The Volleyball Federation of Montenegro has provided our young athletes with the opportunity to compete in a prestigious event and gain experience representing their nation on the European stage by hosting this European Championship. At the U17 European Championship in Podgorica, the new format—which divides the 16 national teams into two groups—is being employed for the first time. Making plans is a big job.

Most of the time, EuroVolley.tv offers live updates and coverage of any key volleyball tournament occurring in Europe. It won’t make a difference for the CEV U 17. All volleyball matches are televised live on Euro Volley TV, an OTT-like network with a specialized audience. Subscription choices are available on their main website. The show will allegedly also be hosted on a CEV YouTube channel.
