With WWE and UFC merging the whole world is in shock. No one expected such a move from WWE. This alliance of the leading MMA and professional wrestling businesses has enraged fans, who are speculating about the potential of MMA fighters and WWE stars competing. Furthermore, ahead of the forthcoming UFC 287 event, Alex Pereira expressed his view that if he defeats Israel Adesanya again, then the former UFC middleweight champion will be forced to make a career in WWE.

At the media day, a journalist inquired about Pereira’s opinions on WWE and UFC merging.“The WWE is a place for Adesanya.” he stated, “Because, after this fight, there’s a place for him to go.”This comment demonstrates Pereira’s belief that he will once again defeat Adesanya and ruin his rival’s hopes of sustained MMA dominance, forcing him to transition to the staged world of professional wrestling.

Pereira exited UFC 281 as the middleweight champion, with a 3-0 overall record versus Adesanya in two sports. For the champion, there must be a sense of accomplishment in accomplishing the goal he set for himself after transitioning to mixed martial arts from an outstanding kickboxing career, as well as the confidence that comes from having triumphed each time he’s competed against the charismatic “Stylebender.”

For the challenger, the pleasant aspects of their November meeting at Madison Square Garden have undoubtedly been tempered by the outcome, and they’ve been joined by fleeting musings about whether the huge Brazilian is the final-level boss he’ll never be able to conquer.

Stylistically, this is still a fascinating cat-and-mouse game between Pereira’s more powerful, marauding approach and Adesanya‘s deft, counter-striking style, who shown in their last meeting that he can sprinkle some grappling into the exchanges to liven things up if required.

This isn’t one of those rivalries marked by bad blood, verbal warfare, and pre-fight antagonism, but rather by two exceptional talents trying to establish their mastery while competing at the highest level, where each man understands that the next bout is always the most crucial one in the series.
