Khamzat Chimaev lived up to the expectations by beating Gilbert Burns, the world's No. 2-ranked welterweight, on the UFC 273 pay-per-view (PPV) main card.
UFC 273 was a blast. Every fighter almost went on war. But the most heartthrobing match was definitely Khmazat Chmiaev vs Gilbert Burns. They both totally went on war and gave one hell of a show. They both were going very strong and in Chimaev’s whole career he never faced someone as Burns as he totally was going all-out. Volkanovski retained his title and also there was Aljamain Sterling vs. Peter Yan. So, below are the UFC 273 results.
On Saturday, Sterling (21-3) had the big smirk on Petr Yan (16-3) and all of his detractors, as he won a razor-thin split decision over Yan. The 135-pound title fight was the co-headliner of UFC 273 at VyStar Veteran’s Memorial Arena, and it was expected to put an end to any lingering debate from their first encounter in March 2021.
Nevertheless, other people scored the battle in Yan’s favor, therefore the debate may not be resolved. Sterling won 48-47 from two judges, while Yan won 48-47 from the third.
Winner: Aljamain Sterling
