Michael Bisping could return after a six-year hiatus

Taking center stage at UFC 217, held at the illustrious Madison Square Garden in 2017, these two legendary fighters squared off in the main event. Marking Georges St-Pierre’s ultimate showdown, he triumphantly secured the middleweight title by submitting the former TUF winner with a rear-naked choke in the fourth round, culminating in his return to the octagon after a four-year hiatus. This unforgettable clash solidified St-Pierre’s status as the new middleweight champion.

Although Bisping hasn’t confirmed his acceptance of the proposition, he acknowledged that he is carefully weighing his options. On the other hand, ‘GSP’ has already shown enthusiasm for going up against another renowned UFC figure.

Since announcing his comeback to the competitive scene, he has mentioned notable fighters like the Diaz brothers, Kamaru Usman, and Colby Covington as potential adversaries for his upcoming grappling event.

Who can Bisping fight on his return?

Michale Bisping may very well follow suit to generate heightened interest among MMA enthusiasts, ensuring a larger viewership for the event. If he decides to participate, there’s a possibility that he could engage in a grappling match against a current or former fighter, much like Glover Teixeira did in a recent instance.

The anticipation lies in discovering whether Michael Bisping will seize Georges St-Pierre’s offer and the intriguing question of who the UFC will pair these two Hall of Famers with for their venture into the realm of grappling.
