Despite his injury, Conor McGregor is keeping his options open for a potential return to the UFC this year, as revealed by Audie Attar, the founder and CEO of Paradigm Sports Management, in a recent interview with Mail Sport. However, Attar also disclosed that McGregor’s future may extend beyond mixed martial arts, with the possibility of venturing into the realm of professional wrestling, specifically with the WWE.

“You can’t rule it out. I think he’s not only the face of the fighting game; he is a showman and an entertainer. I would say now, particularly as his family grows, he has four kids,’ Attar continued, ‘he may just do it for them if anybody. So yeah, you can’t rule it out.”

Will Conor McGregor really join WWE?

This prospective career shift aligns with Conor McGregor’s personal and professional circumstances, as well as his present condition. Following his loss to Dustin Poirier in 2021, McGregor has been in the process of recovering from a leg injury.

Conor McGregor is still pending his reentry into the UFC’s anti-doping program, which includes completing a mandatory six-month drug testing period before he can make a return to competition.

During an interview with TSN, Dana White, the president of the UFC, reportedly stated that Conor McGregor is expected to be scheduled for a fight before the conclusion of 2023, as per the promotion’s plans. While Michael Chandler, who also serves as a coach on Ultimate Fighter 31, has been linked to a potential matchup with McGregor, no specific date has been determined for the bout.

Conor McGregor yet to sign up for USADA testing

In May, representatives from the United States Anti-Doping Agency disclosed that they had initiated contact with McGregor’s management regarding his re-entry into the mandatory drug testing pool required for all UFC athletes. After sustaining a leg injury during his fight with Dustin Poirier in 2021, McGregor had opted to withdraw from the UFC’s anti-doping program.

Despite McGregor’s claim in May that his issues with the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) had been resolved, it appears that he has not officially reentered the UFC’s drug testing pool. While he expressed that the matter had been resolved, McGregor is still awaiting approval to participate in the UFC’s anti-doping program once again.

Furthermore, Conor McGregor and his fiancée, Dee Devlin, have recently shared the news of their upcoming fourth child, underscoring McGregor’s growing responsibilities. With two sons and a daughter already in their family, this development highlights the potential appeal of exploring a new venture with WWE, considering the evolving dynamics of McGregor’s personal life.
