Ronda Rousey stands as one of the most remarkable female mixed martial artists, boasting an impressive track record. With 12 victories and only two defeats, she etched her name as the inaugural UFC Bantamweight champion. After her 2017 retirement, prompted by a loss to Amanda Nunes at UFC 207, she earned a well-deserved place in the UFC Hall of Fame.

Rousey made a notable career shift into professional wrestling when she joined WWE in 2018, achieving an impressive three-time world champion status in a relatively short span. Despite her MMA retirement, the persistent speculation about her UFC return has been circulating for some time. In recent weeks, as Rousey took a hiatus from WWE television, rumors of her comeback at UFC 300’s upcoming pay-per-view next year gained traction, sparking curiosity about her potential fight. UFC President Dana White has now weighed in on these rumors.

Dana White speaks on Ronda Rousey’s return

During a recent press conference for ‘Dana White’s Contender Series,’ Dana White delved into the prospects of Ronda Rousey’s comeback to the UFC octagon.

“Ronda’s having kids. Ronda built this whole thing that’s going on with the women here, then her dream was to go to the WWE. She went there and did everything that she did there and achieved. She has made s***loads of money. She has moved on with her life,” Dana White said.

Dana White quashed the rumor by asserting that there’s a slim chance of Rousey making a return to the Octagon. Are you eager for another UFC stint from the former Bantamweight Champion?

Fans are excited about Rousey’s return

UFC’s play-by-play commentator Jon Anik acknowledges that there might be active fighters who are more deserving of a title shot. However, he cannot deny the magnetic appeal of Ronda Rousey’s comeback after a seven-year hiatus from the sport. He recognizes that Rousey’s profound impact on the sport and her past achievements set her apart as a unique case.

Ronda Rousey’s career was punctuated by extraordinary accomplishments. She clinched both the Strikeforce and UFC bantamweight championships and boasted a flawless finish rate with nine victories in less than a minute. Nevertheless, her career took a downturn when she suffered a devastating knockout loss to Holly Holm in 2015. Her comeback fight against Nunes ended in another swift defeat, leading to her subsequent retirement from MMA.

Following her retirement, Rousey has thrived in the realm of professional wrestling, emerging as one of WWE’s biggest attractions. Nevertheless, recent reports hint at the possibility of her contemplating an exit from WWE, adding to the speculation about a potential comeback to the Octagon.
