Jon Jones to face off against Stipe Miocic

Presently, he’s set to face off against Stipe Miocic, widely regarded as one of the greatest MMA heavyweights ever. Dana White discussed this impending bout in a recent conversation with Mike Tyson on the HotBoxin podcast.

“Jon Jones is one of those guys that when he is gone is when he will really get the credit that he absolutely deserves. He is a bad mother fu**er.  100%,” White said.

“It could be (Jon Jones’ last fight). Jon’s talking about retirement after that fight (at UFC 295) but we will see what happens, how it plays out. I mean he (Jon Jones) is so fu**ing good. I think it will depend on what challenges are out there for him.”

What if Jon Jones beats Stipe Miocic

Dana White expressed that, in his view, if Jon Jones were to defeat Stipe Miocic, it would be a significant achievement. He noted that Stipe is widely regarded as the greatest heavyweight in MMA history, while Jon Jones is considered the ultimate mixed martial artist of all time.

“After that fight, if he wins, if he can beat Stipe (Miocic). Realistically if you look at it. Stipe is looked at as the greatest heavyweight ever. Jon Jones is the greatest mixed martial artist of all time.”

Stipe Miocic has been out of the octagon for more than two years since his loss of the heavyweight title to Francis Nganou at UFC 260. It’s uncertain how he will perform against Jon Jones after such an extended period of inactivity.
