The tech and MMA communities are abuzz with discussion following the unexpected revelation that Tesla and Facebook executives Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, are open to a surprising showdown. The potential clash between these prominent figures has captured attention and sparked conversations in both industries.

UFC’s top figure, Dana White, surprised the fighting community by expressing his willingness to arrange a match between the two tech moguls inside the octagon. White took it a step further by sporting a mock-up promotional T-shirt for the potential fight during a Saturday night event, leaving fans in awe.

Did Dana White just confirm Zuckerberg vs Musk?

Dana White fired back at critics who ridiculed his previous statements about not engaging in “gimmick fights.” In a response on Instagram, he expressed his disdain for the detractors and defended his position.

“Gimmick is MMA guys going to boxing and getting beat. We have seen it already and know how it ends. This is a fight between two of the most powerful/richest guys in the world. Who will win? Who has seen this before? NOBODY.”

“It’s also a crossover fight that literally EVERYONE will watch. Don’t argue with someone like this dude. I love doing MASSIVE fights that everyone wanna see. This is the biggest one of all time. Fun s**t,” he added.

Did Dana White take a dig at Conor McGregor?

Having previously permitted Conor McGregor to step into the boxing ring against Floyd Mayweather in August 2017, Dana White is no stranger to venturing into crossover fights. However, White now considers the trend of MMA fighters crossing over into boxing, like Mayweather vs McGregor, to be overdone and lacking novelty.

Dana White further reinforced his stance in response to those expressing doubts about the proposed showdown between the tech titans.

“Then keep watching MMA vs boxer in boxing. Apparently u [sic] love those fights even though u KNOW EXACTLY who’s gonna win. All good.”

UFC 290 is set to bring back the excitement of pay-per-view action in Las Vegas, scheduled for the upcoming Saturday. The highly anticipated event will be headlined by a thrilling featherweight title unification bout featuring Alexander Volkanovski and Yair Rodriguez.
