The buzz surrounding a highly anticipated celebrity MMA clash between billionaires Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg continues to intensify. As excitement mounts, there is growing pressure on UFC president Dana White to orchestrate a fight that transcends the confines of the UFC organization.

This proposed matchup would pit two of the most charismatic and outspoken personalities in the MMA realm against one another, promising an electrifying showdown between these influential figures. With the spotlight on this potential spectacle, fans eagerly await White’s response and the possibility of witnessing this clash of titans in the world of combat sports.

Mike Perry wants a piece of the pie

Following Sean Strickland’s impressive victory over Abus Magomedov at UFC Vegas 76, a strategic idea began taking shape in the mind of a former UFC fighter. This fighter happens to be none other than the notorious Mike Perry, recognized as a UFC bad boy who currently competes in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.

Perry has openly called out both Dana White and BKFC to arrange a bare-knuckle bout against Sean Strickland. However, the fighter, known as ‘Platinum,’ has made it clear that he anticipates a substantial financial reward for his participation in the fight.

As a former competitor in the UFC welterweight division, Mike Perry faces a notable size discrepancy when compared to middleweight fighters like Sean Strickland. Nevertheless, Perry has demonstrated his ability to overcome such challenges, as evident in his recent victory against former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold in the BKFC.

Will Dana White make another cross promotion fight

Dana White swiftly responded to critics who mocked his previous assertions regarding his aversion to “gimmick fights.” Taking to Instagram, the UFC president expressed his contempt for those who doubted him and staunchly defended his stance on the matter. With his response, White aimed to reaffirm his commitment to upholding the integrity of the sport and emphasized his unwavering dedication to promoting genuine and competitive matchups within the UFC.

“Gimmick is MMA guys going to boxing and getting beat. We have seen it already and know how it ends. This is a fight between two of the most powerful/richest guys in the world. Who will win? Who has seen this before? NOBODY.”

After granting Conor McGregor permission to enter the boxing realm for a high-profile match against Floyd Mayweather in 2017, Dana White has gained familiarity with crossover fights. Yet, White currently believes that the trend of MMA fighters transitioning into boxing, exemplified by the Mayweather vs. McGregor event, has become oversaturated and lacks the element of novelty. Expressing his perspective, White suggests that the appeal of these matchups has diminished, and he may be less inclined to pursue similar ventures in the future.
