Sebastian Ofner is a professional tennis player from Austria. On April 17, 2023, he attained his highest ATP singles ranking of World No. 119. At the 2017 Wimbledon Championships, Ofner made his ATP main draw debut after qualifying, defeating Kimmer Coppejans, Miljan Zeki, and Jay Clarke. He defeated Thomaz Bellucci in straight sets in the opening round. He defeated world No. 18 Jack Sock in a five-setter in the following round. At the 2017 Generali Open Kitzbühel in August, Ofner pulled off another shock by defeating top seed Pablo Cuevas as a wildcard in the second round in front of his home crowd. He next defeated Renzo Olivo to advance to the semifinals, where he was defeated by Joao Sousa.
In Astana, Kazakhstan, for the 2018 President’s Cup, Ofner won his first ATP Challenger title. He earned a spot in the main draw of a Grand Slam tournament at the 2022 French Open, his first Major. In the opening round, he was defeated by World No. 3 Alexander Zverev. He made it to three Challenger tour finals during the first three months of the season in Tenerife, Antalya, and Zadar. He qualified for his first ATP event of the year in Estoril, where he was defeated by Dominic Thiem in the opening round.
