Lorenzo Musetti is a professional tennis player from Italy. He achieved a career-high singles ATP ranking of World No. 16 on June 19, 2023, and a doubles ranking of World No. 283 on May 2, 2022. Musetti has two ATP Tour singles titles to his name. Musetti rose to world No. 1 as a junior, reaching the final of the 2018 US Open boys’ singles and winning the 2019 Australian Open boys’ title. He has won two ITF World Tennis Tour titles and two ATP Challenger titles since turning professional in 2019. On June 10, 2019, he achieved a career-high ITF juniors ranking of 1 in the world.

Lorenzo Musetti was born in Carrara, Tuscany, Italy, on March 3, 2002. His father, Francesco, is a marble manufacturer, and his mother, Sabrina, works as a secretary. He started playing tennis at the age of four and has been coached by Simone Tartarini since then. His childhood tennis idol was Roger Federer. Musetti trains at Tirrenia and La Spezia TC. He made his ATP Tour main draw debut in February 2020 at the Dubai Tennis Championships, where he lost in the first round to Andrey Rublev after receiving a wildcard and passing qualifying.

His second main draw tour-level match and first Masters 1000 match came after qualifying at the Italian Open, where he defeated three-time Grand Slam champion Stan Wawrinka in straight sets in the first round, becoming the first player born in 2002 to win an ATP match, and former World No. 4 Kei Nishikori in the second round, becoming the first player born in 2002 to win an ATP match. He received a wildcard for the Forte Village Sardegna Open in October, where he reached his first ATP semifinal, retiring due to injury against eventual champion Laslo Ere after trailing 1-4 in the third set.
