Laslo Djere is a professional tennis player from Serbia. He is a member of Serbia’s Hungarian community. He has two ATP Tour singles titles, one an ATP 500 Series event in Rio in 2019, after which he broke into the top 30, and the inaugural Forte Village Sardegna Open, an ATP 250 event, in 2020. Djere reached his career-high singles ranking of world No. 27 on June 10, 2019. He reached his career high of world No. 346 in the doubles rankings on March 22, 2021. Djere made his ATP Tour debut at the 2013 PTT Thailand Open as a wild card. His first attempt to play in the main draw of any grand slam occurred in the 2015 French Open, but he was unsuccessful. His second attempt occurred in the 2016 French Open. He won his first grand slam at the 2018 US Open, defeating Leonardo Mayer in the first round.
In February, Djere won his first ATP title at the Rio Open, defeating Dominic Thiem in the process for his first top 10 victory, and climbed to No. 37 in the world. In an emotional speech during the trophy presentation in Rio, ere dedicated the title to his late parents. This title propelled him into the top 50 for the first time, propelling him to position 37. Following that, he reached the semifinals of the 2019 Brasil Open in So Paulo, where he lost to Guido Pella.

He then went on to play in Indian Wells, where he was seeded for the first time in his career in an ATP event (despite being a wildcard entrant), receiving a first-round bye and then defeating Guido Andreozzi for his first Masters 1000 victory, before losing in the third round to countryman Miomir Kecmanovi. He reached a career high of world No. 29 after reaching the semifinals of the Hungarian Open. He then advanced to the third round of the Madrid Masters, where he defeated Juan Martn del Potro for his second top 10 victory, before falling to Marin Cilic.
