Jordan Thompson, a professional tennis player from Australia, reached his highest ranking on July 15, 2019, at No. 43 in the world. He was born on April 20, 1994. He made his Grand Slam debut at the Australian Open in 2014 after winning the play-off for the Australian Open wildcard on December 15, 2013. Thompson was up playing tennis and rugby league, and he was born in Sydney. He supports the Wests Tigers of the National Rugby League. Thompson’s idol in tennis is Lleyton Hewitt. At the 2012 US Open, he teamed up with fellow Australian Nick Kyrgios to advance to the doubles final, marking the pinnacle of his junior career. The 2020 US Open saw Thompson go to the fourth round where he beat Stefano Travaglia, Egor Gerasimov, and Mikhail Kukushkin before losing to Borna Coric, the 27th seed. His most impressive Grand Slam performance to date was this. By the end of 2020, Thompson will be ranked as the 51st best singles player in the world. Thompson won this match and his third top-20 victory in the previous three years by defeating the World No. 14 and 12th seed Casper Ruud in five sets. This was Thompson’s first victory at this tournament. At the 2021 Wimbledon Championships, Thompson had a strong run and made it to the third round for the first time in his career.

Thompson defeated Kei Nishikori in the second round before losing to Ilya Ivashka in the third. At Newport in July, Thompson advanced to the semifinals but fell to Jenson Brooksby. Prior to the start of the grass court season, Thompson struggled to regain his form. He was the eighth seed entering the 2022 Surbiton Trophy, where he only dropped one set en way to the championship match. In the championship final, Thompson faced Denis Kudla and triumphed in straight sets, taking home his first prize since 2018.

Peter Luczak is an Australian retired professional tennis player. In October 2009, he achieved his career-high ATP singles ranking of World No. 64. Luczak won gold in the doubles at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi in 2010. Luczak arrived in Australia at the age of nine months when his parents, Eva and Kris, moved from Warsaw to Melbourne in 1980. Luczak began playing tennis at the age of five, when his Polish-born father Kris introduced him to the game. He had little success at the junior level and was unable to obtain funding from Tennis Australia or a major sponsor.
