On January 1st, 1998, a tennis player from Spain of Moldovan ancestry was born. On January 30, 2023, she attained a career-high singles ranking of 86, and on February 6, 2023, a career-high doubles ranking of 61. Bucşa won her first significant ITF Circuit title at the 2018 L’Open de Saint-Malo while partnering with Mara Fernanda Herazo in doubles. She qualified for the main draw of a Grand Slam singles competition at the 2021 US Open for the first time in her career. After winning the Australian Open, Bucșa qualified for the French Open’s main draw in 2022.
