Wu Yibing is a tennis player from China. The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) has ranked him as high as world No. 55, which he first achieved on 10 April 2023, making him the highest-ranked male Chinese player in history. He also achieved a career-high doubles ranking of No. 295 on April 23, 2018. Wu is the first Chinese man to reach and win an ATP Tour-level singles final in the Open Era, doing so at the 2023 Dallas Open. After winning the boys’ singles title at the 2017 US Open, Wu rose to the top of the ITF Junior Circuit ranking. Wu represented China in the 2017 Davis Cup, where he went 1-0.

Wu reached the final of the 2016 Orange Bowl, a Grade A junior event, in December 2016, losing to Miomir Kecmanovic.  In 2017, Wu reached the Australian Open semifinals in both boys’ singles and doubles, and won both boys’ singles and doubles champions (with Chinese Taipei’s Hsu Yu-hsiou) at the US Open, becoming the first Chinese male to do so. He made his ATP debut as a wildcard at the 2017 Chengdu Open in September 2017. As a wildcard, he made his Masters debut in October 2017 at the Shanghai Masters. Wu won his first ATP match against Li Zhe at the Shanghai Masters in 2018.

He won three Challenger titles in the United States in 2022, including back-to-back titles in Rome, Georgia, and Indianapolis in July. As a result, on July 25, 2022, he climbed to No. 174, his career high. His four Challenger titles in his career made him the most decorated Chinese player in the circuit’s history. He qualified for his first Grand Slam appearance at the US Open. He became the first male Chinese in the Open Era to qualify for the US Open, winning his final qualifying match before Zhang Zhizhen did later that day.
