Milos Raonic vs Miomir Kecmanovic will take place in the round of 32 of the 2023 Hertogenbosch Open on June 12.
Until recently, Milos Raonic was consistently making significant progress in prestigious tournaments such as the Masters and Grand Slams. His chances of winning a major championship, however, were consistently thwarted by the dominant players of the “big four.” Despite the current decline and absence of the “big four,” Raonic, known for his powerful serves, has been unable to capitalise on these opportunities due to fitness issues. Since ATP London (Queen’s Club) in 2017, the Canadian has won at least one match in every grass tournament he has competed in. His most notable achievement on this surface was reaching the Wimbledon final in 2016. In a stunning upset, he defeated Roger Federer in the semifinals but fell short.
Miomir Kecmanovic’s clay swing has been somewhat inconsistent over the last two months, culminating in a devastating loss at the French Open. He had a two-set lead in the first round of the clay slam but failed to convert it. Despite having numerous chances in the decisive set, he was unable to convert, resulting in a heartbreaking defeat in a five-hour marathon match against Andrea Vavassori. Throughout his career, the Serbian has only won ten times on grass. Interestingly, four of those victories came in a single week four years ago in Antalya. During that tournament, Kecmanovic came within one point of winning his first ATP title, falling just one point short.
