Jan-Lennard Struff has finally secured his first main-draw victory in non-Masters tour-level events this year after an intense six-month period of competition that included several notable achievements such as reaching a career-high ranking of #24. He did so by dominating the relatively inexperienced (on grass) Zhizhen Zhang in the first round of the ATP Stuttgart tournament. The former ATP Stuttgart semifinalist has had mixed results in second-round matches at this venue, with a negative win/loss record of 1/3.
