The Dallas Open is scheduled to take place from February 6–12 in 2023. After a successful debut on the men’s tour last year, the ATP 250 event is back. Some of the most well-known names on the tour have signed up for the tournament’s second edition. As the top two seeds, Americans Taylor Fritz and Frances Tiafoe head the field. Both have significantly improved over the previous year and have moved up the rankings. The pair performed well at the United Cup, where they helped the USA win, but they were eliminated from the Australian Open very early.

Both parties are now eager to perform well in front of the home crowd. The third and fourth seeds are Denis Shapovalov and Miomir Kecmanovic, respectively. Another well-known participant in the draw is the veteran John Isner. Additionally, J.J. Wolf is back in action after a breakthrough performance in Melbourne. Reilly Opelka, the reigning champion, is still out due to injury. After losing in the second round of the Citi Open in August 2022, he stopped competing. He had originally intended to take part here, but he ultimately decided against it.

The other players who withdrew were Brandon Nakashima, Jiri Lehecka, Ben Shelton, and Jenson Brooksby. Among the lucky winners of the wildcard were Jack Sock and Liam Krall. The latter is moving up from the ITF circuit, while the former is looking to revive his singles career. The draw is quite competitive because there are so many players who are currently on fire. With so many exciting games waiting to happen, this week is sure to be exciting.
