The Hong Kong Masters 2022 is an invitational professional snooker competition held in the Hong Kong Coliseum in Hung Hom, Hong Kong, from October 6 to 9, 2022. The event is sponsored by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and organized by the Hong Kong Billiard Sports Control Council (HKBSCC) as part of the 2022-23 snooker season. The event was open to eight competitors, including two Hong Kong nationals, Marco Fu and Ng On-yee, as well as the best six players in the world snooker rankings after the World Snooker Championship 2022.
Zhao Xintong had to withdraw from the competition after testing positive with COVID-19. The player with the next-highest ranking, Mark Williams, took his position in the draw. This is the first time the competition has been held since 2017. With up to 9,000 people anticipated at matches, the 2022 edition is predicted to break the previous record for the greatest live snooker attendance. Neil Robertson is the defending champion, having defeated Ronnie O’Sullivan in the 2017 final 6-3.
