The WSF Men’s World Team Squash Championship 2023 commenced in Tauranga, New Zealand, taking place from December 11 to 17, 2023. This year, the championship welcomes 24 teams, including four debutants – Cook Islands, Philippines, Samoa, and Tahiti. The current champions, Egypt, have brought a formidable team, led by the world’s top player Ali Farag, a two-time team champion and four-time individual champion. He will be joined by Mostafa Asal, previously ranked number one and now third globally, Karim Abdel Gawad, also a former number one and currently ranked sixth, and the seventh-ranked Mazen Hesham.

He will receive the support of the Chileshe brothers, Lwamba and Temwa, along with Elijah Thomas. Australia, historically the most successful team with eight victories, enters with four new players – Nick Calvert, Rhys Dowling, Dylan Molinaro, and Joseph White – aiming to secure their first title in two decades. The significant event returns to New Zealand for the first time since 1983 and follows a hiatus in 2021 due to the COVID pandemic.

When and Where to watch the event?

The WSF Men’s World Team Squash Championship 2023 will be available live on the Olympics channel via Olympics.com. It will also be streamed for free on WORLDSQUASH.TV (except Devoy Court 6). Besides this, SQUASHTV and Sky Sport NZ (New Zealand only) will also stream the competition.
