Suyash Jadhav is a para swimmer from India who specializes in the S7 category. He made history by becoming the first Indian para swimmer to receive a registered ‘A’ mark for qualifying in the 2016 Rio Paralympics, and he repeated the feat in the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics. Suyash Jadhav has been passionate about swimming since he was a child. However, when he was in 6th grade, he accidentally touched a live wire which caused a serious injury. Unfortunately, due to the severity of his injury, doctors had to amputate both his hands.

Suyash Jadhav received his training at Deccan Gymkhana in Pune. He holds the distinction of being the first Indian Para swimmer to achieve the ‘A’ qualifying mark for both the 2016 Paralympics in Rio and the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics. He won a silver and a bronze medal at the 2015 IWAS World Games in Sochi, Russia.
Suyash Jadhav has achieved great success in para-swimming. He won multiple medals in various para swimming championships including three gold medals in the 50m freestyle, 50m backstroke, and 100m backstroke at the National Para Swimming Championship 2021-22. Notably, he is the only Indian para swimmer to have won a medal in the Asian Games 2023 at Hangzhou. Only Indian para swimmer to have won a medal in the Asian Games 2023 at Hangzhou in 7 years.
