Tokyo Olympics: Kiren Rijiju launches Indian Olympic anthem by Mohit Chauhan

Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Kiren Rijiju launched the official theme song of the Indian Olympic Team of Tokyo Olympics. IOA president Narinder Batra and secretary-general Rajeev Mehta were also present for the occasion. The song has been composed and sung by singer Mohit Chauhan.

More than 100 athletes are expected to represent India at the Tokyo Olympics. The Games will commence on July 23. They were earlier postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Earlier this month, Mohit Chauhan was also present at the launch of the official Team India kit for the Summer Games. He sang ‘Tu Thaan Le’ for the dignitaries present at that event.

The training for the Tokyo Games are in full swing. Many elite athletes– including the shooters and wrestlers, training overseas. One of India’s biggest medal hopes and javelin star Neeraj Chopra has also been training overseas. On the other hand, India shuttlers, including PV Sindhu, Sai Praneeth, and the doubles duo of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, are working on their routine back home.
