Sushil Kumar demands TV in Tihar Jail after asking for protein-rich food and supplements

Two times Olympic medalist Sushil Kumar, who is accused of kidnapping and murder of Sagar Dhankar, wrote to the Tihar jail administration. In this fresh application, the wrestler demanded a TV to keep himself entertained. In his letter, Sushil has also said that he wanted updates related to wrestling matches.

Sushil Kumar is under judicial custody till July 9 in connection with the Chhatrasal Stadium brawl. He is facing charges of murder, culpable homicide, and kidnapping.

In an earlier application, the wrestler had asked for protein-rich food and supplements.

The application lists out the wrestler’s detailed diet and seeks permission from the court for special food and supplements. As per the application, Sushil Kumar consumes supplements like isolate whey protein, Omega 3 Capsules, Jointment Capsules, Pre-Workout C4 and Hyde, Multivitamin GNC, Exercises Bands, etc.

The application also said that being a wrestler, it is necessary for the Olympic medallist to take a special nutrition diet. “Denial of this basic requirement will have huge implication on career,” said Sushil Kumar’s plea.

Dhankar was the son of a Delhi Police constable and trained at the stadium. On May 4 at midnight, a brawl between him and a few men including Kumar took place in Chhatrasal Stadium. Sagar died on May 5 because of the injuries he sustained in the brawl.

Wrestler Sagar died and two of his friends sustained injuries after they were allegedly assaulted by Kumar and others.
