The Open De France De Squash 2022 got underway on September 12 and will continue till September 17, 2022 in Nantes, France. This is the sixth edition of the tournament. The inaugural edition of the tournament took place in 2014. Formerly known as the Nantes International, the tournament is well-known for staging the competition in unique locations. In the 2019 iteration, World no. 2 Paul Coll clinched the men’s title while former second ranked Camille Serme won in the women’s category.

The semi-final match between Saurav Ghosal and Marwan El Shorbagy is expected to take place on September 16 at around 11:45 pm Indian Standard Time (IST).
India’s Saurav Ghosal reached the semi-final of the Open De France 2022. He got past Spain’s Iker Parajes by 11-8 and 11-9 in the quarters. The Indian no.1 will next face top seed and former World no.03 Marwan El Shorbagy of Egypt in the final four. In the pre-quarters, Saurav clinched a victory against England’s Charlie Lee by 12-10, 11-4. Although the 24-year-old gave the Indian a tough competition in the first set, Ghosal produced a comprehensive win in the second set.
