IWF Grand Prix II Weightlifting 2023 Doha, Qatar: LIVE Streaming, When and Where to Watch, Schedule

The IWF Grand Prix II Weightlifting 2023 will be held in Doha, Qatar from December 4 to December 11, 2023. This event is important for weightlifters because it helps them qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympics. There will be competitions for both men and women in different weight categories, – 55kg, 61kg, 67kg, 73kg, 81kg, 89kg, 96kg, 102kg, 109kg and +109kg for men and 45kg, 49kg, 55kg, 59kg, 64kg, 71kg, 76kg, 81kg, 87kg and +87kg for women.

The weightlifters need to take part in this event and at least two other major competitions to have a chance to go to the Olympics. Their performance in Doha will earn them points that count towards qualifying for the Olympics. The points are based on how much they lift in two types of lifts: the snatch and the clean and jerk. The best lifters, with only one top lifter from each country in each weight category, will earn their berth to the Olympics after the qualification ends in April 2024.
