The month of March will be as exciting as ever for the Indian Sporting fans since the country is hosting the Women’s Boxing World Championships in New Delhi. The tournament is scheduled to take place from March 15 to March 31, 2023, and will feature many top boxers across the world. Although the squad for the event hasn’t been announced, Indian elite boxers like Nikhat Zareen, Lovlina Borgohain are all set to be participating in the 2023 edition.
In addition to Boxing, Badminton and Hockey will remain in highlights among the other sports. Around five top events will be played in Badminton in March. These include German Open, All England Badminton Championships, China Masters, Swiss Open, and Spain Masters. A majority of the prominent Indian shuttlers will be marking their presence at these events. After India’s bronze medal triumph at the Badminton Mixed Team Asian Championships, all eyes will be on these shuttlers. They will yet again eye to bring glory to the nation and add more medals to their individual achievements.

In Field Hockey, India will be hosting Australia and Germany on their home soil, i.e., in Rourkela, India. This will be the first time the team will be playing after a disappointing ninth finish in FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup 2023 at their home turf. They will also be without Graham Reid, who coached the team for almost four years and led the team to a historic bronze medal triumph at Tokyo Olympics 2020. Reid resigned from the position post India’s poor run at the recently held World Cup 2023 in Rourkela and Bhubaneswar.
