Due to the beginning of the qualifying seasons for a few sports (fencing and badminton), the Indian sports calendar for April will be jam-packed. Athletes from India will be motivated to compete in as many events as possible. The upcoming Asian Badminton Championships and the Asian Wrestling Championships are two occasions that will stand out this month.

Participants in the Tennis ATP 250 Grand Prix Hassan II include Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan and Sriram Balaji. Saketh Myneni and Yuki Bhambri will compete in the ATP 250 Houston Open after winning the ATP 75 Girona Challenger. Starting on April 1 and lasting through April 10 in Houston, the tournament. The Orleans Masters, the only match in the April BWF Tour cycle and the final competition before the Olympic qualifying round is the other significant event in the badminton division. The Indian shuttlers hope to finish their European tour on a high note before beginning their next Asian tour in May.

The Asian Championship will take place from April 25 to April 30, while the Orleans Masters event will begin on April 4 and run through April 9. India’s performance in shooting at the ISSF World Cup Bhopal was successful, and the country will try to maintain that level of performance in April. Manika Batra will be the only Indian (woman) to compete in the World Table Tennis Champions (Xinxiang and Macau) in table tennis.

Hosting rights were taken from Indian Wrestling Federation

Since the hosting rights were taken from Indian Wrestling Federation, the wrestling wave shifted to Kazakhstan. The competition will be a good opportunity for others to demonstrate their talent since the best Indian wrestlers will not be competing.

The first major competition of the season, the Archery World Cup Stage I, will take place in Antalya, Turkey. In February and March, Indian archers were very busy competing in the National Championships and the Asia Cup. Top-seeded Indians (Karan Singh and Bhavani Devi) are scheduled to compete in the Sabre Seoul Grand Prix in fencing, which is another major competition.

In the opening round of the Olympic qualifiers, the Indian women’s football team is grouped with Turkmenistan and the Kyrgyz Republic. Esow Alben and Ronaldo Singh, two of the best cyclists from India, are scheduled to compete in the Track Nations Cup.
