At the Hangzhou Asian Games 2022, Artistic Gymnastics will be held from Sept 24 to Sept 29, 2023, at the Huanglong Sports Centre Gymnasium in China.
Gymnastics has been an integral sport in the history of the Asian Games. The sport consists of three events namely Artistic Gymnastics, Rhythmic Gymnastics, and Trampoline Gymnastics. Out of these three events, Artistic Gymnastics has been a part of the Games since the inaugural edition of the sport (1974) at the Asian Games. On the other hand, Trampoline and Rhythmic Gymnastics were introduced in 1994 and 2006, respectively.
In the history of the Asian Games, China has dominated Artistic Gymnastics since its inception. The nation has topped in all editions of the Games in Artistic Gymnastics from 1974 to 2018. No other nation has been able to bag the overall event in the history of Asiad. At the Hangzhou Asian Games 2022, Artistic Gymnastics will be held from Sept 24 to Sept 29, 2023, at the Huanglong Sports Centre Gymnasium in China.
