The Toronto Maple Leafs will take on the Buffalo Sabres at the Scotiabank Arena in the NHL on Saturday. Toronto lost their last game 3-2 against the New Jersey Devils. Auston Matthews and William Nylander scored the goals for the Maple Leafs as they could not over the line against the Devils.
Maple Leafs coach Sheldon Keefe said after the game, “We get the puck back and you give it right back to them. Can’t happen.”
The Buffalo Sabres on the other hand lost their last game 4-1 to the Ottawa Senators. Tage Thompson was the only Sabres player to get on the scoresheet as the rest of his teammates were not able to get past Anton Forsberg in the Ottawa net, who finished the game with a save percentage of .967.
Sabres coach Don Granato said after the game, “Our power play didn’t look good tonight. Even after the entry, we hurried things, we forced things, we went individual too quickly. That’s something we have to take a quick look at.”
