The game between the New York Islanders and Calgary Flames will take place at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York on Saturday, November 5 at 7:00 PM ET.
The New York Islanders will welcome the Calgary Flames to UBS Arena for an NHL game on Monday. The Islanders were soundly defeated 3-0 by the Detroit Red Wings in their last game. Anthony Beauvillier, Zach Parise and Oliver Wahlstrom all had three shots on goal but were denied by Ville Husso in the Red Wings goal who saved 24 shots and ended the game with a save percentage of 1.000.
Islanders coach Lane Lambert gave credit to his opposition after the game and said, “Give them credit, they played well. I thought they were taking away time and space but I didn’t think we played fast enough and there’s no excuse for it.”
The Calgary Flames on the other hand were narrowly beaten by the New Jersey Devils in their last game with the scoreline reading 4-3. Goals from Nazeem Kadri, Elias Lindholm and Nikita Zadorov were not enough as Calgary fell short by one goal.
After the game, goalscorer Nikita Zadorov said, “Definitely losing four in a row is unacceptable for our group. We’re going on the road, we haven’t done it for a while, we’ve been at home for a while. So it’s gonna be something new for us, new energy, new excitement. We believe in each other so I think we are going to turn things around.”
